Roofing in Schertz and Cibolo
Northeast metro, two cities, two permit desks, housing from the 1970s next to new production.
Schertz and Cibolo sit next to each other on the northeast side. They are not one city. Schertz has more of the older 1970s–1990s stock: moderate pitches, mixed deck, roofs that have already been through a replacement. Cibolo grew faster in the 2000s, so more of what we see there is still the first or second shingle roof on OSB.
The I-35 corridor brings the same hail arguments as the rest of the metro. We still will not sell a reroof because a door knock crew was on the street. Pipe boots and vents fail here the same way they fail in San Antonio.
Permits
Two cities means two counters. A Schertz job is a Schertz permit. A Cibolo job is a Cibolo permit. Roof replacement is not informal in either place. The bid should name the city. If the lot is on the line, we check the address before we file.
