Boerne splits. Closer to the square you still find older structures, steeper metal, and masonry that needs real flashing where the roof dies into stone. Out on the newer streets it is composition shingles on production houses, same as north San Antonio, with more wind and more oak debris than a lot on the prairie.
Metal is more common here than in the city. We do sheet metal. We also do the shingle roofs in the subdivisions. Gutters and gutter guards matter when the oak canopy dumps after a storm, without turning this into a tree service page.
Permits
The City of Boerne asks for a permit when you are replacing over half the roof. That is a different rule than San Antonio’s re-roof counter. If the house is in the ETJ or in the county, the desk changes again. We ask which jurisdiction you are in before we write the bid.
