Roofing in San Antonio

San Antonio is not one roof. South and near-downtown streets still carry postwar ranch houses: lower pitch, plank or early plywood deck, oak debris, and layers from the last two hail cycles. North and west of Loop 1604 you get production two-stories from the 1990s on, steeper, more valleys, OSB, HOA rules on color.

Permits
Inside the city, residential re-roof usually goes through Development Services. A re-roof with no change in pitch is typically a simpler filing than a change of pitch, which needs plan review.
