Warranty
Manufacturer, workmanship, and GAF System Plus are three different things. Know which one you are holding.
People ask what warranty they get. Three different papers get called that. They are not the same thing.
Manufacturer
This is the factory’s paper. It covers the product as it was made: shingles and, on a system, the matching accessories. If a shingle was bad out of the plant, that claim runs through the manufacturer. It does not cover a flashing that was installed short, or a pipe boot that sat cracked for years.
Workmanship
This is how the roof was put on. That promise is ours. If drip edge was skipped or a valley was cut wrong, that is us, not the factory. Ask for it in writing. Ask what happens if a company is gone.
GAF System Plus
We are a GAF Certified contractor. System Plus, not Master Elite. On a qualifying GAF roof we can offer System Plus. That is an enhanced manufacturer system warranty. It is not a substitute for workmanship, and it is not the top GAF contractor pledge reserved for other tiers. Read the warranty issued for that job. Do not trust a flyer.

What voids coverage
- Putting the system on without the accessories the warranty requires
- Someone else cutting into the roof later and not repairing it the way it was built
- Leaving the roof buried in debris, or ignoring a drainage problem you can see from the yard
- Not registering the warranty when registration is required
- Treating a sales sheet as the legal document. The issued warranty is the one that counts
The full terms live on gaf.com and in the packet you receive after a qualifying install. We will not reprint that legal text here. If you already have a GAF roof, keep the registration and call us with the address. We will help you read what you have.
