Skylight leaks
We find whether the stain is the skylight, the curb, or the roof beside it. We do not sell or install skylights.
We diagnose skylight leaks. We do not sell skylights and we do not install them. If the unit itself is finished, we will say so and you can take that to a shop that does that work.
A stain under a skylight is still a location. The water may be coming from the glass or plastic, from the curb flashing, or from the roof next to the curb. Those are three different jobs. Door knock crews skip that distinction and sell a reroof.
What we look at
- The curb and the metal around it
- The roof field upslope of the unit
- Condensation versus a real wet path, they look similar on a ceiling
- Whether a roof-side repair will hold without touching the unit
If the leak is the roof, we repair the roof. If the leak is the skylight, we document that. We do not replace the unit. No price list belongs on this page; the first step is seeing which path is wet.
